The Chicago Hockey Initiative is pleased to introduce our 60th Microgrant recipient – Corey!  Corey is a high school student from south suburban Chicago. Corey and his family discovered the CHI on the Chicago Blackhawks youth hockey website. Thanks for helping us connect, Hawks!

When asked what he enjoyed most about the game, Corey wrote “I enjoy the competitiveness and physicality of the game, the friendships I have made, and supporting my teammates off the ice.”  Clearly, Corey is one of those heart and soul players every team needs to succeed! Corey’s mother included that since Corey has played since the age of five “he has learned teamwork, selflessness, and the value of hard work.”  Great traits for any young person to have!
