Ronan

Ronan

The Chicago Hockey Initiative is beyond excited to introduce our FIFTIETH Microgrant recipient – Ronan!  Ronan is an elementary school student from Chicago who plays goalkeeper in the Chicago Stallions youth hockey association. Ronan is pictured with (L to R) Stallions hockey director Mick Pyznarski, CHI co-director Scott Ryan (and his daughter) and CHI co-director Lorna Cagann at the Chicago Stallions Derby Days fundraiser.

In his Microgrant application, Ronan demonstrated a passion for hockey, and his parent/guardian and teacher/coach statements also indicated the positive impact hockey has had on Ronan’s character and athletic development. But Ronan distinguished himself even further upon acceptance of his award. Ronan decided to donate his award back to the Stallions to support goalkeeper training and development at the mite and squirt levels.  As a result of Ronan’s generosity, the Stallions were able to purchase resources to aid in the development of ELEVEN young goaltenders. Ronan, thanks so much for being such an outstanding young person! The CHI is happy to be part of your team!
