Wyatt

The Chicago Hockey Initiative was pleased to award our most recent Microgrant to Wyatt!  Wyatt is a Chicago Public Schools fourth-grader and Squirt youth hockey player.  He was invited to skate in a AAA travel tournament in Toronto and the CHI was happy to sponsor his participation. Good luck in Toronto, Wyatt!

Wyatt is pictured above with Coach Booth, who will be his coach for the Toronto tournament. Coach Rosenfeld, who instructs Wyatt’s recreational team, wrote glowingly of Wyatt in his application: “Wyatt exhibits sportsmanship by giving a consistent effort every practice, every game, and off-ice as well. His positive attitude and broad smile are infectious and fosters enthusiasm in his teammates and coaches.”  Wyatt’s mother, Jennifer, wrote that “through hockey, Wyatt has made the best friends a kid could ask for, who motivate him, lift him up, and hold him to a high standard.” The CHI is so pleased to support student-athletes like Wyatt in our effort to grow the game of hockey in Chicagoland. Three cheers for Wyatt!
