Atara

Atara

The Chicago Hockey Initiative is excited to introduce Atara and Yehuda, our 8th and 9th Microgrant recipients for 2016! Atara is pictured front and center, backed by (L to R) her mother, Rifka; CHI creative director, Evan; CHI marketing consultant, Lorna; and CHI co-director of development, Steve. Yehuda is not pictured, as he was on his way back from summer camp, but we will post pictures of him on the ice shortly. Both Atara and Yehuda live in Chicago and attend elementary school.

Atara’s Mite instructor, Coach Lebovics, wrote that Atara is a “fantastic listener, fast learner, and one of my top three skaters.” What great qualities for a young hockey player! Yehuda’s instructor, Coach Nuttoli, wrote that “Yehuda consistently brings a positive attitude to his teammates and always looks to help the overall team goal, sacrificing personal goals in the process, which is commendable.” Very admirable character traits for a young student-athlete! The CHI is very proud to support young hockey players like Atara and Yehuda as part of our mission to grow the game of hockey in the city of Chicago!
